Your Information is Secure. This website secures all sensitive information by using 128-bit SSL (secure socket layers) encryption. You need a browser that supports SSL. If you have version 3.0 or above of either Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, or AOL, you are fine, unauthorized parties cannot read the information that you send over the Internet. If your browser does not support SSL, you will want to upgrade to a version that does before shopping at Pedal Force.

Pedal Force also has a private SSL digital certificate. A Digital ID is an electronic method that proves you are dealing with the one and only Pedal Force. Because secure transaction processing slows things down a bit, most sites (including ours) do not secure the transaction until you reach the screens where you are entering personal data such as your address and credit card number. So, while you are perusing the catalog and adding items to the shopping basket, the secure processing is turned off. When you begin our checkout process, you will probably notice that the padlock icon then appears. (Where it appears is dependent on which browser and version you are using). This icon lets you know that you have entered a secured section of our website. You may find yourself jumping back and forth from the secure area to the unsecured area. Rest assured that all sensitive information remains completely secure.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer’s domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. Pedal Force observes our visitor’s behavior on our site so that we may make better and more helpful product and content recommendations. Any information we collect or observe is used for internal review and is never shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

The only time your order information is shared is when it becomes necessary to complete your order (i.e., your credit card and billing information is shared with our bank for authorization and your delivery address is shared with our shipper. Standard connection information (provided by your browser) is collected by Pedal Force. This information includes the type and version of your browser, operating system and IP address and past visits with this IP to help law enforcement officials prosecute those who purchase from Pedal Force using improperly obtained credit cards.

If you supply us with your postal or e-mail address on-line you may receive periodic mailings and/or of our e-mail newsletter. It contains clear instructions for removing yourself from the list at the bottom of every newsletter if you do not wish to receive such a communication. This will remove you from our e-mail list. 

Occasionally, Pedal Force requests information through surveys or contests. Requested information may include contact information (such as your name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as your zip code and age). Contact information will be used to notify contest winners and award prizes. Pedal Force partners sometime help sponsor contests, and if that is the case, we share the entrants information with that partner. Information collected from surveys will be used to improve the usefulness of our site. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary. Participation in a Pedal Force contest or sweepstakes is limited to those 18 years old or older.
